Due to a major national outage of Virgin media backhaul services connectivity is severely at risk. Physical broadband connection for many customers is still technically live, yet there will be issues with routing/peering/DNS (Domain Name Servers) disrupting the internet connectivity side wherever our network utilises Virgin connectivity.
Services seem to be stabling and restoring at present. We are still in communication with Virgin Media, however, very little information has been given about the root cause of the problem. We will provide more information when it becomes available.
Virgin Media has confirmed that the outage is related to Transmission Hardware, engineers are working to restore services as quickly as possible, and is being treated as a Major Service Outage. Multiple providers are reporting issues where out networks overlap. We are awaiting more information at present.
The national Virgin Media outage has re-occured again affecting multiple service providers. We are working with Virgin Media to gain an update on the re-occurance of the fault.
Services are restored, We are working with Virgin Media and requesting a Reason for Outage report from this morning. Their services were affected Nationally.
Services are now restoring across all sites. We are closely monitoring all services, as they are still vulnerable at this time.
Our Network Operations Team are working with Virgin Media to restore services as soon as possible.
