OFNL Network Wide Maintenance - OFNLITYNW004

OFNL Description of Works:

OFNL are working to upgrade our Core Routers to provide increased capacity for ISP connections in Telehouse West. As part of this work, OFNL will be performing a change to our Core Router chassis in Telehouse West (THW).

All impacted customers have been notified by email and provided with further information in relation to the works. We will be using this incident to provide updates to our customers and ensure close monitoring of our network so that we can restore services as quickly as possible following completion of the works at their end.

Fibre outage - Engineers are investigating

  • Our engineers have managed to restore service using an alternative location and power source

  • The power board have updated to say they will not be on site until 3pm at the earliest

  • We are sending an enginner to site to see if it is possible for us to power the equipment from an alternative source to restore service as the time frame of power restoration is currently unknown. Engineer ETA to site 20 minutes

  • A power outage at the Turnstile building on site is the cause of the issue. Electricians have review the issue and now await a response from the power board. As this is outside of our control we currently do not have an estimated time of resolve at the moment
