OFNL Network Wide Maintenance - OFNLITYNW005

OFNL Description of Works:

On the 4th June 2026, OFNL upgraded our Core Routers to provide increased capacity for ISP connections in Telehouse West (THW), and we swapped our Chassis in THW.  To complete this work, OFNL needs to initiate a final reboot of the equipment to bring it into service. OFNL expect this final reboot to take up to 45 minutes.

All impacted customers have been notified by email and provided with further information in relation to the works. We will be using this incident to provide updates to our customers and ensure close monitoring of our network so that we can restore services as quickly as possible following completion of the works at their end.

Past Incidents

25th January 2022

Queensland Place and Parliament Place Liverpool

Connectivity issue detected at the Queensland and Parliament Place Complexes. Unable to communicate remotely to equipment on site. Engineers have been dispatched to site to investigate.

  • Services are now restored. We are now monitoring as devices reconnect.

  • Equipment has now been replaced. Engineers are just working on configuration and activation of the equipment to then attempt to bring services back online

  • Engineers have arrived on site

  • Engineers have updated to say they expect to arrive on site within 20 minutes

  • Engineer update. Replacement equipment required. New equipment is expected to arrive on site in 90 minutes

  • Manchester Manchester - Crescent / Burlington Square

    We are currently aware of an outage affecting the Manchester Local Crescent and Burlington Square. We believe this to be related to an Openreach Hardware Issue. Engineers are currently coordinating to restore service.

  • Services have been restored at Burlington Square. We are now monitoring the connection as devices reconnect and traffic returns

  • Engineers have arrived on site at Burlington Square and are awaiting access to the equipment on site.

  • Services at Manchester Local Crescent are restored. Burlington Square is still being investigated

  • Engineers are on site at Manchester Local Crescent and are just awaiting access to be granted to the equipment on site

  • Engineers estimated time of arrival to Manchester Local Crescent 8.20am
